Beautiful

I felt like a horrible mother today, all morning my focus was on the royal wedding. I'm sorry to Wes for neglecting him. They are so adorable, the wedding was amazing and she is absolutely beautiful. I don't know why I felt I had to post about this, but I did.

Happy Easter!

We had a fantastic Easter this year! The morning started with Wes finding his basket that the Easter Bunny hid for him (that's a tradition that my family has done my whole life). Wes already got a basket from my mom and one from my sister, so the basket from the Easter Bunny pretty much had no candy in it.

He didn't care though, he ate both plums and his pear that morning

After the basket finding we had delicious French Toast (kneader's style). I got this recipe off of sisterscafe.blogspot.com, YUMMY!

I am obsessed with this suite, I got it at a consignment store in Charlotte and hopefully we will be getting some professional pictures in it.

Went to Josh's parents for Easter dinner. The kids of course had an Easter egg hunt, then there was a lesson on the true meaning of Easter. Sadly that sometimes gets forgotten with all the candy and activities.

Update

I feel like a lot has happened in the last week so I wanted to do an update post to let everyone know all about it. First of all I started potty training Wes a little over a week ago and he is doing great. He started out really well then had a day or two with tons of accidents and now he is back on track. We aren't even using diapers at night. I am so proud of my big boy, I really didn't think this would happen already but here we are.

Second is, I got a job! Last Monday I got a call from Blaine (my old Pizza Factory boss) and he needed a new office manager. The pay is great, and I get to work whenever I want as long as i get the stuff done. Also I can take Wes if I ever need to. I can't believe this just fell in my lap, I guess working there for 7 1/2 years paid off.

The biggest news for us is Josh passed his series 63 test (i think that's what it's called) on Friday. He has been studying his butt off for about 3 months and finally it's over, sigh of relief.

Now tonight we are going out with some of our best friends, to our favorite restaurant, Asian Star, to celebrate all the terrific things going on right now. I hope everyone else has had a fantastic week also!

Dying Easter Eggs

Of course it's tradition to color Easter Eggs the day before Easter, but this year Wes got to help and actually had a lot of fun. We don't really eat hard boiled eggs around here, so we always just color regular not boiled eggs. There were only a couple of casualties

Easter Egg hunt

This week for playgroup we had an Easter Egg hunt. Unfortunately the weather was gross so we had to do it inside, but the kids still had a blast!

Hee Haw Farm

Last week we went to Hee Haw's with a bunch of friends for the baby animal spring fling. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time.

Bieber Fever!! I got it

I have wanted to see this movie pretty much since it came out, and I'm not ashamed to say it. So, last night some friends and I went to see it at the dollar theater. Ok, this kid is AMAZING I had no idea how talented he is. He plays the guitar, piano and absolutely kicks A on the drums. Not to mention his dancing, singing and sports. Anyway the movie was totally inspirational to me as a Mom and I kind of want to buy it on DVD when it comes out :)
