Going to church

I never take pictures of the kids before church and that is when they look their best. Today during church Natalie started crawling, it was so exciting and as soon as we got home I took some video. I don't know how to put video on my blog but if I figure it out I will share it. My babies are growing up too fast

We do where shoes to church

I found this picture of me when i was 9 months old (yes I was walking at 9 months apparently, that's what the date on the back says). Anyway I think Natty and I kind of look alike, she is only 7 1/2 months but we still have the same cheeks.

This is the best picture I have of her right now

Zoo Day

The Hogle Zoo is not the best, but the kids sure love it. And the new area they opened is so fun, the polar bear is so funny.

The three friends with their sisters

The Polar bear was hilarious, he kept swimming up to the window underwater then popping up and scaring all the kids. Then he would swim away on his back and do it all again.

Natalie and Ellie they are just 2 weeks apart in age.

Falling

We have officially kicked off this season with some fun activities. Last Sunday we drove up to Cascade Springs to see the colors. It isn't any Blue Ridge Mountains, but it certainly was gorgeous.

Today Wes and I made homemade applesauce. He saw it on Sid the Science Kid (that show is WEIRD, by the way) and wanted to try it. I added a tiny bit of sugar so I can't eat it, but it smelled so good. I think I will make it again with no sugar and have it with my sugar free ice cream. Oh and of course Wes hated it, but it was fun to make.

Oh here is my Natty bug (photo taken by Wes)

We picked some leaves when we were hiking the other day so we did some leaf coloring

We're back

Our computer broke a couple weeks ago, but we are finally back with a new awesome laptop. Hopefully I will be able to post some pictures soon. I really don't like having to write journal entries by hand, I would so much rather blog than write in a journal. My 8 week challenge is going GREAT, I still have a perfect score. Wes is really loving school and Natalie is so close to crawling it will be any day now. Josh watches football pretty much non stop. And that is what we have been up to. I know we lead very exciting lives. This is my favorite time of year, so things are going to get really fun here!

I just thought this picture was cute. This is Wes and Gracie with their sisters. One of the great things about where we live is how many great friends Wes has near by.

Halloween is a comin'

I was looking back at some old pictures and found these. Halloween is such a fun holiday, and it's even more fun when you can dress your kids up like something scary. We were sad to see summer go, but so excited for this time of year

Snow Shack

So, is everyone sick of my blogging yet. I told you I'm doing an eight week challenge and one of the things I have to do every day is write in a journal and that can include blogging.

One of our favorite summertime activities is getting snow cones, they are the yummiest and cheapest summer treat. We probably go 3-4 times a week. Well last Saturday was the end of that, closing day so we went for half price snow cones

We all love a good snow cone

See you next year snow shack.

Cruisin'

I don't know why I forgot to post about this, but one of Wes' biggest accomplishments this summer was getting his training wheels off his bike. Back at the end of March he asked for us to take them off. He wasn't quite 3 1/2 yet but I told him if we took them off they weren't going back on. Well about one day later he was doing it. However it did take him until August to be able to start on his own. So proud of this kid!

School Day

I just can not believe that my baby is leaving me already. Ok, I know it's just preschool and it's only 2 days a week, but I feel like he was just my teeny baby boy. He was beyond excited which made me excited too. I made him a special breakfast of star shaped french toast and bananas and he got to drink his juice in a fancy cup. Then we took a ton of pictures and video of him getting ready to go.

Outside his class, Mrs. Kelly is his teacher.

His cubby and basket

One of his little friends from the neighborhood is in his class, they get along so well and I think they will have fun together.

After school I of course asked what he did and he said they got fruit snacks and they sang the monkey and crocodile song. (5 little monkeys swinging from a tree). He didn't remember much else, but he did make a few cute things that I'm sure I'll save forever :)

Yes another trip to VA

Yes, we went back to Virginia again and of course had a blast just like always.

We saw my bestie and her cute kids again. This is Natalie and the mega twins. I didn't make up that name, their doctor did. haha

Having fun at the children's museum

My parents bought Wes 3 superhero costumes, yes I said 3. And if you know me you know I don't love superhero stuff

Maymont Park. I have been going here since I was teeny tiny. I used to roll down this same hill when I was about Wes' age. I know this isn't a great picture, but I needed one of him doing this.

Hello

Natty and Aunt Shael

This trip we got to see Rhonda and the kids twice. Wes and Carter had so much fun at Monkey Joe's. If we lived closer these kids would be best buds. Carter calls Wes his cousin in Utah, love him.

This is more at Maymont Park

Natty and Pap

The stepping stones. You can't go to Maymont and not take this picture

The grandkids

Well this trip wore these kiddos out. Thankfully we had a whole row to ourselves on the way home. I think everyone was very comfortable.

On another note I am starting an 8 week challenge this week and one of the goals is to write in a journal everyday. This can include blogging, so you may see a lot more posts from me in the next 2 months.
